History of the terminal

"Interferrum-metal" terminal was founded in 1938 as a shipbreaking yard in the end of Turukhtannaya harbour of the Leningrad port. As from 1998 the terminal had started to be developed in the capacity of a transfer platform for bulk, oversize and containerized cargo and successfully handled hot briquetted iron, roundwood and sawn timber, granulated fertilizers in Big Bags for export, as well as took in imported oversize cargos.

In 2010 the terminal concentrated on taking in large-diameter steel pipes from Germany for the projects of PJSC Gazprom using Liebherr 280 mobile embarking derrick, 80 tons lifting capacity.

In 2013 the technical upgrading and reconstruction of the terminal had been started in order to be able to handle Fuel oil and VGO in tank cars produced by Russian oil refineries for export.

The terminal has already worked with Anpipinskiy Oil Refinery, Kirishskiy Oil Refinery, GazpromSalavatNefteorgsintez, Taneco/Tatneft, Yaiskiy Oil Refinery, LukoilNizhegorodNefteorgsintez, Lukoil-PermNefteorgsintez, Orskiy Oil Refinery and many other companies.
